Senior Reservoir Engineer
Job Purpose
Technical contribution for Development and Recovery optimization of AL Shaheen reservoirs, integrating the lessons learned from the NWD post-mortems and the RMO well performance reports.
Identification, maturation of Appraisal as well as Development Opportunities and feed into development projects in FDP.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Doha (Qatar) office.
Standard office hours, 5 days a week.
Key Accountabilities
Under the direction of Head, Reservoir Dev. & Growth; the main accountabilities include:
1. To deliver the reservoir engineer studies under directions from Head RDG feeding into the Field Development and Appraisal Plans
2. To update and maintain full field reservoir models
3. To ensure Reservoir Development and Appraisal Lookbacks implementation into studies and in ALS FFM model updates
4. Inputs for Annual Reserves (ARR) and Long-Term Plan production (LRBP) for AL Shaheen reservoirs
5. Technical presentations during Shareholders Engagements and Validations Meetings for RDG Projects & Studies related to AL Shaheen reservoirs
Activities
Technical work delivery
Technical responsibilities are:
1. Define Dynamic Appraisal and Development needs including required subsurface studies for optimized recoveries.
2. Provide input into Appraisal Program to unlock and de-risk future Developments
3. Mature dynamic pilots, post mortems and implementation into reservoir development studies
4. Work within integrated team to mature Field Development Targets and provide inputs to ensure timely submissions and approvals of Field Development Phases. Prepare input for FDP documentation (including FDP, RMP, Shareholders Quality review etc.)
5. Participate into 2G&R synthesis to improve reservoir understanding and loop back knowledge into models and studies
6. Reservoir engineering input for new projects (Workovers related to Redevelopment, New Wells, Pilots etc.) by defining the perimeter, spacing, targets, TD, data acquisition & profiles. Project management for getting the wells validated until the Basis of design (BoD) and subsequently handing it over to New well Delivery team for SOR process maturation.
7. Contribute to the construction/update of the reservoir models (static and dynamic) in close collaboration and iterations with the geophysicist, geologist and reservoir specialists
8. Design and supervise SCAL and PVT analysis
9. Dynamic model update, and maintain of the full-field reservoir models in ALS FFM, and when required, the existing sector models. Integrated updated relative permeability, PVT, completions, tracers, RFT, new wells data & 4D data into reservoir models
10. To use ALS FFM model to define, extract and history match the different sector models dedicated to specific problematic areas, following the technical assurance requirements and ensure loop back to maintain ALS FFM with new data
11. Conduct the uncertainty analysis including definition of uncertainty parameters and ranges
12. Provide inputs for Annual Reserves Exercise (ARR) and Long-Term Plan production (LRBP) forecast to IPP team including quality review & consolidation
Competencies
Qualifications and Experience
10 years’ experience within a Subsurface organization, in Reservoir Engineering role
Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably Master’s degree (in RE / PE subject)
Proven experience of work in multidisciplinary teams, with cross-functional technical knowledge and Senior Technical role
Ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels
Proven communication, networking and collaboration skills
Commercial and business acumen / Ability to influence business decision making
