Operations Team Lead - Field Support Team
SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION
- Reports to: Offshore Installation Manager (N+1) and Offshore Area Manager (N+2)
- Direct Subordinates: N/A
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Acting as the Deputy On-Scene Commander in the event of an Emergency Response to ensure minimal harm to personnel, environment (including Oil Spill Response) and asset
- Support site OTL in leading a team of over 100 offshore personnel in the safe delivery of over 85k bopd production volumes and other short to mid-term business priorities
- Contributing to the development and review of all risk assessments to ensure that hazards have been identified, adequate mitigations are in place and risk has been reduced to ALARP
- Delivering safe and efficient operations by effectively managing the competing priorities of maintenance, production and other activities to ensure work is executed in line with the schedule

ACTIVITIES
- Act as the HSE-Site Authority Deputy to protect the health and safety of all personnel onboard and prevent damage to plant and environment
- Ensure safe delivery of core business through active management of Base Operations routines and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Campaign and Project activities
- Provide the OIM with analysis and comment on performance, opportunities and risks in order to improve business performance and reduce risk
- Coordinate the deployment of the Field Support Team to ensure all locations are provided the necessary manpower to ensure business priorities are met on time and as required
- Chair the Daily Permit Meeting to ensure strict compliance with company requirements and safe execution of all platform work activities
- Provide direction and support to teams to ensure production targets are met and production / reinjection volumes are maximized
- Assure that planned maintenance, inspections, campaigns, projects and workovers are carried out in accordance with company requirements to ensure asset integrity and production optimization
- Motivate and inspire staff in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture and encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization
- Coach and develop operational staff competencies based on staff development plan from HR
- Contribute to the continuous supply of resources within the talent pipeline for succession planning
- Perform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvements
- Support the OIM in the implementation of relevant company policies, standards and processes to ensure employee safety and comply with legislative requirements
- Represent NOC appropriately and in accordance with code of ethics when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
- Promote cost consciousness across entire network of stakeholders in order to embed a strong cost culture
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
The Offshore Team Leader is the Second-In-Command of and offshore site and is responsible for acting as the deputy to the Offshore Installation Manager. The OTL supports the OIM in all matters related to managing the day to day priorities and ensuring safe delivery of production targets and maintenance of asset integrity. Site B is located approximately 80km NE of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf in an offshore environment with imposing limitations to work delivery. The position is offshore based – on a rotational scheme
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Education: Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent
- Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in O&G production operations
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading others (Discipline Supv. or Equivalent)
- Management of Emergencies / Crisis Situations: Minimum 5 years’ experience in this role
