CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

The OIS is responsible for all topsides integrity and integrity activities related to but not specific to - Process Piping, Pressure Vessels, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Structures, Pipelines, Caissons, Chemical Injection surveys and ASAW Surveys. Increased activities to also support E&C, Campaigns & Shutdowns. The OIS supports the OIM in all matters related to managing the day to day priorities and ensuring safe delivery of business priorities.

Al Shaheen is located approximately 80km NE of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf in an offshore environment with imposing limitations to work delivery.

The position is offshore based – on a rotational scheme, 28 on, 28 off.

Key Accountabilities

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Offshore Integrity Supervisor (OIS) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient supervision of all Static equipment Integrity activities on the site.

It further includes enhanced leadership, team development, and contractor management responsibilities in line with the field’s expanding M&I workload.

  • Leading a team of up to 15 Technicians to support the safe delivery of the site production
  • Acting as a Performing Authority to ensure that all Integrity related tasks are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work process and company requirements
  • Ensuring the prioritization & timely liquidation of all planned and corrective maintenance activities relevant for the Integrity team.
  • Providing technical input to key stakeholders related to the execution of campaign and project scopes

 

ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure safe delivery of core business through active management of integrity and integrity activities and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Campaign and Project activities
  • Act as the Site Radiation Protection Supervisor to ensure all radiography work is conducted in compliance with local legislation and industry best practice
  • Ensure rope access activities associated with Integrity activities are level 3 supervised, and done so safely and in accordance with IRATA guidelines
  • Perform level 1 API 579 fitness for service assessments to conclude equipment can remain in operation, whilst more detailed assessments are completed
  • Act as an Performing Authority to ensure that all applicable works are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work process and company requirements
  • Ensure 95% of all planned integrity works are completed on time to ensure the topside integrity of vessels, piping and structure
  • Manage and track all temporary repairs installed on the platform and ensure periodic review and rectification as required, as well as providing guidance to the OIM on application of site authorised repairs.
  • Provide the OIM with analysis and comments on integrity issues as well as monthly interface with onshore focals for the site integrity meetings to improve business performance and reduce risk
  • Participate in the Daily Permit Meeting and ensure teams strict compliance with company requirements and safe execution of all platform work activities
  • Provide direction and support to OFME, onshore IE and offshore inspectors to ensure integrity issues are identified and resolved as per the plan
  • Perform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvements
  • Support the OIM in the implementation of relevant company policies, standards and processes to ensure employee safety and comply with legislative requirements
  • Represent NOC appropriately and in accordance with code of ethics when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Promote cost consciousness across entire network of stakeholders in order to embed a strong cost culture

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead and develop a multi-skilled Inspection team, Conduct performance reviews, competency assessments, and provide on-the-job coaching.
  • Manage increased contractor presence and activity levels, foster teamwork and clear communication with ongoing Projects, Shutdowns and Campaigns teams to ensure safe efficient offshore support delivery.
  • Motivate and inspire staff in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture and encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization
  • Audit incumbent contractors, assessing technicians against competency matrices accordingly

Education

Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent discipline experience

Certification

  • Health & Industrial Hygiene
  • Basic Cause Tree Analysis
  • Basic Firefighting
  • Oil Spill Principles and Management Level 1

Experience

  • Industry specific Qualifications: e.g.: API 570, 510, ASME/CSWIP/PCN plant inspector
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 8 years’ experience in O&G production operations
