ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • To ensure the appropriate use SAP, GRC and DOA tools in respect of Finance and Company’s rules and procedures.
  • To contribute to the development and evolution of SAP, GRC and DOA within NOC.
  • To contribute to the proper appropriation of SAP, GRC and DOA tools evolutions in NOC and to ensure the added value of their use.
  • Coordinate with other finance domains on all cross-functional matters.

 

 

JOB DIMENSIONS

 

  • Oversee and manage cost control processes within the Finance Department, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide strategic oversight to a team of 20 staff members within the Cost Control unit.
  • Collaborate with a broader Finance team of 55 members to ensure cohesive financial management.
  • Engage with a total workforce of 1400 employees across NOC, facilitating cross-functional coordination and support.
  • Influence the development and evolution of financial systems and tools within the organization.
  • Operational Efficiency.
  • Work closely with other finance domains and departments to address cross-functional matters and ensure integrated financial operations.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between various stakeholders, including internal management, technical departments, shareholders, and auditors.

Strategic Contribution:

  • Participate in strategic initiatives aimed at improving the company’s financial systems and processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial control and system enhancements.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of GRC and SOD frameworks to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Implement and monitor controls to ensure segregation of duties and address any conflicts.
  • Ensure SAP systems are effectively integrated and aligned with business processes, providing training and support as needed.

 

 

ACTIVITIES

 

HSE:

  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy.
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards.
  • Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.

 

Key responsibilities

 

Daily Operations and Collaboration:

 

  • Collaborate with the IT Authorization team to implement required changes.
  • Gain and build expertise in authorization concepts, including company structure and its impact on role domains, user groups, and user IDs.

 

Authorization Analysis:

 

  • Analyze SAP authorization changes from a business perspective, ensuring alignment with authorization and Segregation of Duties (SOD) concepts.
  • Gather and share business insights to support solutions for SAP authorization incidents.

 

SOD Ruleset Management:

 

  • Assess and update the business and technical SOD ruleset impact of concept changes.
  • Oversee complex user SAP authorization requests requiring SOD checks and conflict removal.
  • Maintain GRC master data, including updates of Role Owners and Risk Owners.

 

Monitoring and Control:

 

  • Design and implement regular checks on the authorization concept and user access to ensure SOD.
  • Update dashboards and reports to analyze and determine the root cause of SOD conflicts.
  • Detect unauthorized authorization changes impacting the SOD ruleset and follow up on periodic controls.

 

Process Improvement:

 

  • Support the redesign and improvement of procedures involving SAP authorizations.
  • Maintain documentation related to SAP authorization processes, including project documentation, business ruleset changes, and detective controls like user access reviews.

 

Knowledge Sharing:

 

  • Share knowledge with key actors in the authorization processes, including Authorization Key Users and Risk owners.
  • Participate in improvement initiatives related to the company's system processes with Business Process Owners and Power Users.

 

ERP System Optimization:

  • Recognize and improve the company's use of the global ERP System using best practices and standard solutions.
  • Design and agree on functional specifications to meet new business requirements, including defining technical specifications for developers.

Technical Coordination:

 

  • Advise ERP Global and Regional Governance Teams on decisions leading to common and compatible solutions.
  • Work with SAP DBS team and other IT external resources to ensure technical solutions meet functional requirements.

 

Configuration and Testing:

 

  • Undertake configuration of SAP where necessary for solution delivery.
  • Debug and rectify functionality-related system faults.
  • Perform unit testing to ensure functional requirements.

 

User Support:

  • Support business users during QA acceptance testing.
  • Develop and update system/user documentation when configuration or other changes. 
  • Prepare training mat.
  • Monitoring and controlling activities.

 

SAP System Management:

  • Oversee the configuration, testing, and maintenance of SAP systems to support business requirements.
  • Ensure effective integration and alignment of SAP systems with business processes.
  • Manage system upgrades and participate in regular testing to maintain system integrity.

 

Authorization Management:

 

  • Collaborate with the IT Authorization team to implement necessary changes.
  • Develop expertise in authorization concepts and analyze SAP authorization changes.
  • Oversee complex user SAP authorization requests and maintain GRC master data.

 

Segregation of Duties (SOD):

 

  • Implement and monitor controls to ensure segregation of duties and address conflicts.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to maintain the integrity of the SOD framework.
  • Update dashboards and reports to analyze SOD conflicts and follow up on periodic controls.

 

Process Improvement:

 

  • Participate in initiatives to improve business processes with Business Process Owners and Power Users.
  • Enhance the use of the global ERP System using best practices.
  • Design functional specifications and ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.

 

Training and Support:

 

  • Prepare training materials and conduct continuous improvement training for users.
  • Provide support to business users during QA acceptance testing and system usage.
  • Develop and update system/user documentation when configuration or other changes.

 

Project Management:

 

  • Manage medium to enormous size projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders across NOC to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.
  • Undertake configuration of SAP where necessary for solution delivery.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

 

  • Query and analyze data within the existing system to provide essential information for future improvements.
  • Debug and rectify functionality-related system faults.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of system performance and issues.

 

Compliance and Risk Management:

 

  • Coordinate with the GRC DBS team to resolve issues on a timely basis.
  • Support GRC projects and maintain compliance with risk and compliance tools.
  • Maintain documentation related to SAP authorization processes and GRC master data.

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

  • Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in IT or a related SAP field, with a preference for a Master's degree in IT authorizations or an equivalent qualification.
  • Required Experience: 10-15 years of expertise in the relevant field.
  • Knowledge of SAP authorizations, including FIORI authorization set up.
  • Knowledge of SOD concept
  • Knowledge of SAP GRC or other risk & compliance tools is a plus.
