Job Purpose

Ensure safe delivery of core business through active management of Base Operations routines and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Campaign and Project activities, ensuring compliance with maintenance performance targets and SECE driven work adhering to performance standards

SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

Position N+1:: Offshore Installation Manager

Position N+2: Offshore Area Manager 

Supervised Team size (24): C&I Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Mechanical Supervisor, Services Supervisor, FST Supervisors (Maint)

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

The Maintenance Superintendent supports the OIM in all matters related to managing the day to day priorities and ensuring safe delivery of maintenance and asset integrity. C1 Controlled Site E is located approximately 80km NE of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf in an offshore environment with imposing limitations to work delivery. The position is offshore based – on a rotational scheme

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide the OIM with analysis and comment on performance, opportunities and risks in order to improve business performance and reduce risk related to Maintenance and HSEQ items.
  • Provide support to teams to ensure production targets are met and production / reinjection volumes are maximized in line with the Production Superintendent
  • Assure that planned maintenance, inspections, campaigns, projects and workovers are carried out in accordance with company requirements to ensure asset integrity and production optimization
  • Motivate and inspire staff in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture and encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization related to maintenance outages
  • Coach and develop operational staff competencies in troubleshooting of equipment and root cause analysis
  • Perform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvements
  • Support the OIM in the implementation of relevant company policies, standards and processes to ensure employee safety and comply with legislative requirements
  • Represent NOC appropriately and in accordance with code of ethics when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Promote cost consciousness across entire network of stakeholders in order to embed a strong cost culture

Education

  • Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent 

Certification

  • Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader
  • Management of Major Emergencies
  • Advanced First Aid • Basic and Advanced Firefighting
  • Oil Spill Principles and Management Level 1
  • Basic and Advanced Cause Tree Analysis

Experience

  • Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in O&G production operations
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading others (Discipline Supv. or Equivalent)
  • Management of Emergencies / Crisis Situations: Minimum 5 years’ experience in this role
